This short finally has the return of Petunia Pig, who last appeared a year and a half ago courtesy of Frank Tashlin; thus making this her first appearance in a Clampett short...except she almost nearly appeared in "Porky's Party" and didn't. (and while Petunia has a redesign finally giving her black braided hair that actually makes her cuter, this was intended since "Porky's Party" and actually was previewed on Porky's bunk back in "Scalp Trouble!") Unfortunately compared to Tashlin's interpretation of Petunia as a much funnier and more fickle character when it comes

The reason why is simple: it feels like Tex Avery was using Elmer as a means for his gags and he probably just didn't need him anymore. The 'travelogue" shorts will continue on and in many ways they don't need someone to be a guide with them as Elmer had been up to this point; let alone the fairy tale gag shorts he's done like with Red Riding Hood or Cinderella don't really need him either. Robinsome"; though he also can play Fred Allen!) just stealing and robbing and...just stealing and robbing without stop. There's no real rhyme or reason as to why Diller is robbing literally every bank in town and anything else he can get his hands on (like even a pay phone at one point), it's merely "here's our bad guy and he's robbing banks and is really good at it" with no real explaination what he's even doing with the money. I mean obviously you don't need a reason, but

Beauty to Mutie - A Short TF Tale
Beauty to Mutie A Quick Female TF tale by StrangerAtaru She had no idea what she was anymore. But she still remembered what she used to be. She was the class beauty, the one the girls looked up to and the boys lusted after. Her blonde hair flowed in the wind with it's length; she wore outfits that accentuated her huge bust and round backside; and her eyes were bluer than sapphires. She never needed to work out and was considered a star on the tennis court, winning even the best student in the county with her play and her arm serve. She was a top-five student and her grades got her into an equivalent Ivy small college with full scholarship. She was a finalist for homecoming queen, only losing to some South Asian girl who she swore got a boob job the month before voting to hide how huge her nose was. Her life was perfect, and nothing could ever go wrong. But that was before the accident. Literally hours after her 18th birthday, her supposed buddies took her out drinking and

Some shorts have him as a good chicken farmer ala "Porky's Poultry Plant" or "What Price Porky", others have him trying to fight against them ala "Porky's Garden" or "Porky's Spring Planting". This time it's the former and we get a lot of the typical gags, starting with this really, really weird intro with everyone jiving out and the chicken coops named after famous elements at the time for some reason (like why are they named after the Hardys or Blondie and Dagwood?) and a silly bit where a chick hides itself when Porky is checking eggs for whether to sell or if fertile with future chicks, but then this bigger deal occurs due to this newly hatched duckling (with this weird thing they do

The gold parts aren't really as funny as some of the other gags, like one with a guy getting a smoke in a bar while cards just shuffle themselves for a game; or an early take on the "cliff gag" where the propsector cuts himselff off a cliff and doesn't realize it for a bit walking across the sky before finally realizing gravity and falling (interesting to see that gag this early on); but we also get not much of a resolution and a

We already have him trying to push that overly crazy rabbit last year, and now he's trying to promote Dizzy Duck! (and yes, he actually did have two appearances prior to this: he was that over-talkative duck in "She Was an Acrobat's Daughter" and "I Wanna Be a Sailor") In this short, we actually get a cool idea of Porky and Dizzy being trapped inside a fisherman shack during a particularly windy, rainy night, which actually feels like a good excuse for a ghost story in some regards (and we have had some spookier content before so that could be cool) However, instead we get all sorts of chaos

I mean Porky just had an anti-tobacco short and everything! Well we've seen Porky in the Air Force and Porky in the Army...how about Porky in the Navy? This short probably feels a bit too much like a few others in combining some concepts (I definitely saw "Little Beau Porky" in there and a bit of "Shanghaied Shipmates") but the short basically is simple enough: Porky's in the Navy, he has a lot of problems with his high commander (who torments him and has this running gag about wanting to get to the Mess Hall before anyone else), but ultimately steps up when everyone else goes off on a mission leaving him with the ship and the ship comes under attack forcing him to save the day. Finally finished my reread of "The Black Cauldron" and thus 2/5th through the Chronicles of Prydain novels...again... And the funniest thing: it just makes the idea of Eilonwy being called a "scullery maid" at the end of the movie by the Horned King all the funnier and cuter. Seriously: in the original novels, she basically worked in a scullery at Caer Dallbenn after the first book since she had nowhere else to go (and even throws some pots at Taran early on in the second book for leaving her while he goes off with others for a mission); but then out of nowhere without any context in the Disney movie, the Horned King just...calls her that. In the original novel, it was actually an arrogant prince who...eh, it's too much to say without spoiling what happens; but they know Taran and Eilonwy from prior and thus would know them enough to make derogatory comments of being a "Pig-Boy" and "Scullery Maid". But in the movie...the Horned King just calls her that for no reason. We don't
-I am back home dealing with family for the week, and while part of me is happy to be home with the fact I'm able to help take care of my mom and just get a break from work, I just have to also deal with my sister and the massive fits she has for any and every little thing we do wrong. I can't touch the dishwasher because I don't know if it's clean or dirty and then she goes off about not putting anything in the dishwasher and "leaving her a mess". I go to get a half-pound of salads and she goes off claiming she wanted a full pound when mom said we had to save money since she was the one paying for it. It can't just be one way or the other, can it; plus considering I never know anything and try to adjust, it's still never enough. -Sometimes I want to write a story with a bit more depressing edge and I think I have a right to do it. I still like making the girl sexy or cute, but at the same time I just like the idea that not everything is within their control and not every girl
